What do baby squirrels eat?

We found a baby squirrel in the park. The poor thing was being terrorized by a bunch of kids, so we brought it home with us. My mother called to check if our local SPCA was open, but it's not, so we'll be having him for the night. What should we give him? I honestly can't even estimate age or anything, and we WON'T be keeping him, just renting out cage space until the SPCA is open tomorrow morning. What do baby squirrels eat?
go get some puppy or kitten milk replacer from the pet store and a nursing bottle. What do baby squirrels eat?
it really depends on the age if its eyes are open and its tail is a little bushy it would still be on milk but would be starting to eat solid food. So if you are going to only have him for the night then you can just give him some pecans or smashed banana or a small piece or tomato. If you have a syringe or a shallow dish at your house you can put some scalded cow milk(just stick a bit in the microwave for 45 seconds then let it cool down) these things should hold it over till tomorrow. no need to good spend your money on things you don't have. now if you are going to keep it then there is a totally different way you are going to do it, but the things i list will be fine for the night. Remember to keep it warm, if you have a heating pad put it under some towels for it to sleep on if not put a hot water bottle where it is sleeping. and every once in a while take a warm tissue and wipe its bum to help it potty. Hope this helped.if you decide to keep it check out this site it will tell you everything you need to know http://users.hal-pc.org/~jbsum/squirrel.鈥?/a>
well Don't know what they eat, but I think releasing a baby squirrel into the wild is not a good choice, I mean it is a good choice, but it's not going to be accepted by it's mother or other squirrels... because they can probably smell the human scent... but I am NOT 100% about it

it's kinda like a hamster killing their young sometimes when you touch the baby

but god bless you for saving him

When the teeth of baby squirrels have developed, they will no longer nurse and will forage mostly for nuts, seeds, and buds.
